Carpet Cleaning
All types of carpets and rugs are professionally cleaned whilst in the home. Our trained operators will inspect the carpet to ensure suitability and clean the carpet with the appropriate system. All carpets are different and it would be wrong to have a standard service to suit all carpet types. We let each job dictate the cleaning system used and only then proceed with the work. In this way we are able to offer a safe and effective cleaning service with no risk of damage or shrinkage.
Why clean a carpet?
- Healthier Environment
- Lifespan of carpet
- Appearance
Carpets are under daily attack from dust, dirt, grit, oil, pet food, baby food and these conditions conspire to create an unhealthy environment which allows dust mites to breed. Vacuuming the carpet is simply not enough as this does not remove the ground in dust and dirt which becomes lodged at the base of the carpet's pile. With the pressure of rubbing of feet etc the problem becomes compounded -the effect is rather like having thousands of tiny razor blades cutting away at the surface of the carpet and making it worn prematurely. Carpets which are not cleaned professionally will have a much reduced lifespan and carpets that are maintained on a regular basis will look better and last for longer.
Frequently Asked Questions.
Is it a very involved process?
Not at all, most carpets can be cleaned within a day and you do not need to be there while the work is going on.
Do I have to remove the furniture?
We move furniture where possible and back into place and ask our clients to move any smaller breakable items.
Do the carpets and backing become very wet during the cleaning operation?
No as the water is sprayed in and vacuumed straight back out taking with it the dirt so the carpet are not left wet and over 94% of the water used is removed totally.
Are the carpets wet for a long time?
No, most carpets will be dry within two to three hours.
Carpet manufacturers recommend that carpets are cleaned each year to eighteen months from new and on a regular pro rata basis. Professional carpet cleaning will make the carpets look and feel clean and leave them in a better condition with an increased lifespan.
The system mainly used is a warm water extraction cleaning system which sprays a fine mist of warm water and cleaning solutions directly into the carpets pile before drawing it back out again taking with it all the dust and dirt that was previously in the carpet. The carpets pile is lifted and raised and the colour is immediately enhanced with the removal of all the detritus.
